The school was donated to the Museum by Joanne and Sonny Sicilliano

Big Bass Lake School
LOCATION: 8906 W 6 Mile Road, Irons in Sauble Township
Current Use: Sauble Township Hall

Sauble School (1910-??)
LOCATION: North of 1820 Hamilton Road,
School is located on the east side of the road about 4 miles north of the Mason/Lake County Line. This is a six-sided cement block building.
Current Use: Vacant

  1. I have an old photo of the school in Peacock. The original bell for it is out front of the twp hall on 4 mile near peacock trail.

  2. i dont know if this is still an active blog or not, but the Sauble School closed in 1949
